Party Room
Somewhere to hang out with friends in live voice and video rooms instead of scattered group chats. It's our own idea. We designed it, we're building it, and we run it ourselves.
Why it's built this way
Rooms, not threads
Group chats pile up unread. A room is either live or it isn't. You can see who's around and just join.
Ten people should feel like two
Calls run through a media server (LiveKit) rather than peer-to-peer, so a full room doesn't melt anyone's phone.
One account everywhere
The same rooms, friends and messages on the web, on the desktop and on your phone, kept in sync in real time.
On your phone
The same rooms, in your pocket.
The mobile app shares everything with the web and desktop versions, so you can leave a call on your laptop and pick it up on the bus.
Have an idea like this?
Party Room started as a few sentences. If you've got something you'd like to see exist, we'd like to hear about it.
