How we work
Every project is different, but the way we run them isn't. Here is what happens at each stage, what you get from it, and how we charge.
You tell us the idea, who it's for and what success looks like. We ask awkward questions about budget, deadlines and what happens if it works. If we're not the right people, we'll say so and point you somewhere better.
What you get
An honest view of whether the idea is buildable, roughly what it would cost, and what to build first.
We write down what we'll build, how long it should take, what it will cost and what's deliberately left out. For bigger or fuzzier ideas we may suggest a short, paid discovery phase first, so the estimate is based on facts rather than guesses.
What you get
A proposal you can share with co-founders or investors. Nothing is binding until you accept it in writing.
We work in short cycles. Each one ends with something you can click on in a private preview link. You give feedback, we adjust, and we repeat. Scope changes are fine; we tell you what they cost before doing them.
What you get
A weekly update, a live preview and access to the code repository from day one.
We set up hosting, domains, monitoring and backups in accounts you own. We test with real devices and real data, then launch together.
What you get
A working product, the credentials for everything, and documentation another developer could follow.
Some clients take the code and run. Others keep us on a small monthly retainer for fixes, updates and new features. Both are fine. Any defects in what we delivered are fixed free for 30 days either way.
What you get
Your choice of support, with no lock-in.
Pricing
Your proposal will recommend one, and explain why.
Best for: Well-defined projects
One price for an agreed scope, usually paid in stages. Changes are quoted separately.
Best for: Evolving or exploratory work
You pay for the time used, invoiced every two weeks or monthly, with a clear estimate up front.
Best for: Ongoing products
A set amount of time each month for improvements and support. Cancel with 30 days' notice.
Our promises
The detail is in our Terms of Service. Kovion Holdings is an unincorporated business, not a registered company. Your agreement is with the person named in your proposal. Here's why that matters.
Send a few lines about your idea. We'll reply with questions, not a sales pitch.
